Josie

Renate & Horst think Josie is just wonderful.

Josie represents the thousands of discarded pets who were thoughtlessly purchased as cute puppies only to be discarded as young adults because of a lack of love and TRAINING. This 12 month old spayed Rottie with the natural tail came from a neglectful family who tied her outside and allowed her collar to become embedded in her neck! Through it all, Josie retained her stable Rottie temperament and her infectious sense of humor. Her gazelle impression is not to be missed!! Josie delights in racing through the yard kicking up her heels in the sheer joy of running free!!

Now, after conquering life-threatening pneumonia and enduring the painful surgical removal of her collar, Josie is at last ready to get in with her mission in life. . .to make people happy. Our lucky girl needs a family who is dedicated to improving her house manners and teaching her to walk like a lady on the leash. She is doing well using a special harness called a Sporn.

Josie likes dogs and cats (although she needs to tone her enthusiasm to live peacefully with most cats) and she LOVES children. We recommend at this time that she be placed in a home as an only dog. Although she likes other dogs, she has little experience interacting with them and she would torment any dog in her household. She has a tail obsession, and at first tried to pull the stub of a Rottie in her foster home. . now she is playing with the tails of long-tailed dogs she romps with! Never aggressive, but very ANNOYING!!!
