 Emma

November 24, 2007 - Jane writes: "A milestone for Emma - she now goes on my walk with me!!!  I didn't think she was going to be confident enough to to do this until the spring.  I have so much fun now taking my walks with Emma-this is why I adopted her - to have a walking buddy and she is!!! She also met Chummy (Kirsty Alley)and Bully (science fiction sized pug) in October and was completely comfortable with them after about 2 hours.  There will be a few more visits with them since I will be watching them in February.  Emma has certainly come a long way and I'm glad I can be a part of her transformation. "

August 24, 2007 - Emma was adopted by Jane in Massachusetts and continues to flourish into a lovely girl.

October 11, 2007 - Jane writes: "First I have to thank everyone involved in Emma's rescue and care. This is one of the best rescue groups I have ever dealt with and you really did an excellent job with Emma. I can't thank Pat B (her foster mother)enough for all the time and love she gave to Emma for well over year - no kisses yet Pat but I know as you did, that she loves back! She will cuddle up on the couch with us (me and my other 2 dogs) and put her head on my shoulder and stare at me!! Emma fits in wonderfully with my two little blind dogs - my toy poodle has even cuddled up with her - that is huge for him since he doesn't like to be touched when sleeping! Emma is starting to ENJOY walking on a leash and is gaining more confidence with each venture outside - she even wags her tail on our walks - although the tail wagging just started. I adopted Emma to have a walking buddy and with the progress she had made over the last 2 months - I think by early spring she will be the walking buddy I am hoping for. Loves car rides-she peeks over my shoulder from the back seat - I guess to make sure I don't get lost. She loves greeting family and friends when they come to visit - and wants all their attention when they come in. She sees Bear on a regular basis as he is our upstairs neighbor. We will be meeting Kirsty Ally (now called Chummy) the weekend of October 13th. More updates after that meeting.

Meet Emma. Emma has been in foster care for over a year now and has patiently waited to find her forever home. Emma is about 6 years old now and such a good girl. She spent most of her life tied up in some basement having a lot of puppies.

Since she has spent most of her life in a basement, the outside world is scary for Emma. She has finally learned what joy it is to feel the grass between your toes and is fully housebroken. She is also crated trained and prefers her crate when she is unsure of her surroundings, but once she is comfortable, she can be quiet comical. She loves being in her fenced in yard and is slowly learning to go for walks. Her favorite thing to do is go for car rides!!

Emma is a very good girl and suitable for apartment living. She hardly begs for food and never gets up on the furniture. Emma enjoys the young adults who live in my new home. But we're not sure I would enjoy living with young kids. Emma longs for a quiet household where she can be doted on, can that be yours?
