ay 30, 2007 - Cayenne was adopted by Matt & Jesse and their pittie boy Del from New Hampshire. Del and Cayenne hike almost daily and she loves to play with her new brother. Jesse reports: The dogs continue to get along very well... and Del has finally decided that Cayenne is worthy enough to share his bed... She likes to follow him around and wants to be able to do everything that he does. They are truly starting to build a big brother/little sister relationship! It is very fun and cute to watch!
Originally plucked from a high volume urban shelter as a personal dog for this group's leader, Cayenne is a spirited, lively, loving rottweiler-pitbull mix. Cayenne has a career in agility destined to thrill any enthusiast. At 21 months, Cayenne is good with dogs of all sizes and genders, and initial testing indicates that she can live harmoniously with cats. Cayenne knows her basic commands, is house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car. Cayenne will do best with a family who's kids are sturdy on their feet.
Cayenne has fantastic energy and ball drive, making the Red Sox outfield look like little league. Cayenne loves her toys and regularly has one in her mouth, without destroying it. While Cayenne lives harmoniously with many other dogs, she is struggling with the constant revolving doggy door of canine fosters in her foster family. She is a mid-pack dog, but each time a new dog arrives (which is often), she worries about where she fits in that pack. Cayenne is excellent with other dogs, and will do well, again, where she's "mid-pack", and where her canine pack is more stable and consistent.
Cayenne is a really fun dog that her foster family wishes would work for the long term. She would love an active household, whether you hike, do some dog sports, or just want to practice throwing a lot of tennis balls, Cayenne is the right dog.
