Bronx

Bronx is a special man who captured the hearts of local volunteers. Despite his age, Bronx was given space in a foster home -- where he will spend the rest of his life. This is not common practice for this (or any) rescue group.

Bronx has severe arthritis in his back end along with neuropathy. The worst problem is that he is highly suspect for bone cancer. His right front leg & chest is very swollen at the joint and the vet said she has seen this many times before with this breed. He has been started on Rimadyl and will be put on a zinc to help his spinal cord. The cost for his meds will be approx $125.00 per month. His current foster family loves him and wants to keep him until the end :) The vet advised after I directly asked her if he should be put to sleep that as of today, he should not as he is happy and we can keep him comfortable. She said this could and will change over the next few months. Not only the cancer is an issue but with the neuropathy he will become very unstable which will effect his walking (the compound will help this). Our goal is to give him one HELL of a summer. Please help us make this happen for Bronx. Bronx will greatly appreciate your support.

Bronx is a 7 year old rottie male who came to the rescue from a local shelter. He is a very even tempered dog who loves his food and treats! He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys his long naps often follow by a spout of playfulness. Bronnx is happiest when there is someone around to rub his ears and chest.
