Minnie, fka Annie

February 16, 2009 - Melanie writes: "Just wanted to let you know that Minnie (AKA Annie) is doing great. She is going to training classes every Saturday morning at Mondadnock Humane Society and is the "star" of the class. She has fallen head over heels in love with Phil and is glued to his side whenever possible. I don't think she ever knew how to play with toys, dogs or people and she is slowly learning that this is an enjoyable activity. We took in a terrior mix that was living outside in a crate and she enjoys chasing him back and forth down the hallway. She has a few strange behaviors that were are working on and she is progressing nicely. She's a real sweety who had a rough life up until now and we feel very fortunate to be able to give her a safe and loving home. Thank you!"

October 25, 2008 - The charmer that she is, Annie now Minnie was adopted by her foster family, Phil and Melanie from Vermont. Minnie now lives with her canine brother Dozer and the two cats. She is a very happy girl.

This very sweet 4 yr old rottie girl is an Ike evacuee. Arriving in NH in late September, Annie was a bit confused and happy to be on solid ground - even when her arrival was during Hurricane Kyle. Annie loves people and gives bear hugs and cuddles. She is calm and loves to hang out on the deck. She has met several cats without much interest and, while she's social with other dogs, has no desire to "play". Annie is a talker, and will do best with a family who understands her rumblings as just part of her personality.
