Shelley, now Kelly
February 20, 2009 - Dawn writes: Kelley and the Sanborns are bonding nicely. We absolutely adore this dog, who stands perfectly still while being groomed and barks to alert us when strangers come to the house. We are shopping around for a trainer (for us, not the dog) and look forward to the new experiences. "
January 21, 2009 - Robert writes: "Ms "Velcro" Shelley is acclimating quite well. The first day had quite a few misshaps on the floor despite frequent walks after meels and in between times. She accepts the crate well, and does not bark. She is scheduled for her vet visit on Friday. If I had skis and a proper working dog harness, I think she would be a good cart dog. She has had two long treks around the snow shoe path and I can't keep up her pace. She is ravenous, but we are restricting her to two meals (1-cup each) per day. She is very intelligent and wants to please."
January 17, 2009 - Shelley was adopted by Dawn and Robert from Vermont.
How come I have not given Shelley the benefit of a fantastic bio? What else was I doing? Shelley is about 4 years old and an ideal foster dog. Shelley is sweet and friendly and loves loves loves to be with us - wherever we are in the house. She can often be found lounging in front of the wood stove, sprawled out in the dining room ... or wrestling in the snow with Layla. She is best friends with her foster brothers (who also like to play with her), and gets along with everyone in the house. Shelley has proven that she's social with school-aged kids -- but would prefer a home without a lot of commotion. This polite girl with a natural tail and a big personality has impeccable house manners. She knows several commands, rides well, and politely shares her toys. Shelley is a Manhattan Mutt.
