Isis

As usual, we are left baffled how owners could surrender their 12 year old dog due to "personal problems" . Maybe it was because they could no longer breed her, as she' s clearly had her share of litters. We took her into rescue as we have a soft spot for the older dogs being dumped at the end of their years.

Isis has since blossomed in foster care. That is not to say she doesn't have issues, like sharing food, but over time it has become manageable. She loves to trot around her in her large fenced-in yard and has proven to be a solid ambassador for the breed by getting along with every dog she meets. She shares her foster home with Pebbles, another pittie in the program, two bulldogs and a Rottweiler.

Isis loves to be by her foster mother's side and is delighted when she can be near her. Isis has cancer, so her days ahead will be challenging, but she will get spoiled, loved and most of all held in loving arms when she needs to go to the Rainbow Bridge. The joys of unconditional love that comes from sharing your life, heart and home with a senior dog are beyond words - we urge you to consider this and adopt a senior or at least sponsor them while they are with us. It will certainly light up your life and theirs. Please fill out our adoption application if you are interested in any of our dogs
