October 11, 2010 - Saber was adopted by his foster family Wendy and Derek from Maine.

This young, affectionate 18 month old rottie man is ready for a home that can show him a lot of care and training to teach him the ways of the world. He apparently got this far in his young life without learning about things like stairs, leash walking, and garage door openers. He has plenty of energy and appreciates long walks, and is calm in his crate for sleeping overnight. He seems healthy and loves his food without obsession; he could in fact use another 10 or so pounds to get him to be a good weight. He has appropriate interest in other dogs, cats and guinea pig in the house and is very playful with them to play with them if allowed. He has not shown any aggression. He has shown improvement with his house manners, and will need supervision in a new home environment while transitioning. Upon arriving in rescue, he has spotty hair loss and itchy skin. Veterinary testing revealed an ear infection and internal parasites - both which have been resolved - and the hair loss should also disappear. Southern Maine foster home.
