January 21, 2012 - Jamie writes: "Bean moved from MA down to NC in August when her mom started grad school at Duke. She is loving the South. She loves sitting in the window watching the squirrels that run amok in the tree in the front yard or going on hikes on all the trails around the house. When she's not exploring nature, she is playing with her best friends Jasper (a 4yo pit) and Brody (a 2 year old Choc Lab) and generally making everyone smile who meets her!"
May 11, 2011 - Jamie writes: "Bean has now been with us for 3 months and she has settled right in knowing that she's found her forever home. She's been making friends with all the other rugby dogs and even got invited to her first Pawty; a Bark-b-que for her French bull-dog friend Whiskey's first birthday. Despite all her doggie-friends, her best friend is still Rayo the cat, who she plays tag with throughout the house when not playing tug, or "helping" dig in the garden. Everyday when we look at her staring at us with those brown eyes full of love, we comment on how lucky we are that she rescued us. "
February 25, 2011 - Dayne was adopted by her foster family - Jamie & Monica. Jamie writes:

Dayne's foster family writes: "Dayne is amazing. She is pretty much the perfect dog. She sits, she stays, she comes when called, she snuggles, she walks (and runs) great on a leash, she loves kids, dogs, my cat (who despite her best efforts, she hasn't convinced to play with her), she shares her toys and her food with no problem... I love coming home and being greeted with her full-body tail wag that starts around mid-waist and then watching her flop over onto her back for a belly/chest rub. She is such a little love-bug!"
Dayne, about 2, is VERY sweet, gentle and loves to play. She gets along with other dogs - both large and small and did well on her cat testing. Dayne is excellent with kids, and will be fine in a house hold with children who are appropriate with animals. She is house trained, crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She was treated for heartworm in late 2010 and will require monthly preventative (i.e. Heartguard) through Fall of 2011 (no moreso than you'd give any other dog). This pretty girl loves to eat and is at the appropriate weight of 67 lbs. She is a Confederate Canine.
