May 31, 2011 - Lee writes: "I wanted to give you a quick update on Sampson. He is up to 75 pounds and looks great! He is in love with his little brother and sister and they do everything together, including sleeping in a big pile. He is halfway through basic obedience and is on track for his K-9 Good Citizen certificate. He also goes to daycare up in Maine every week or two and really has a great time. He has come a long way and is a great addition to the family. Most importantly, he seems as happy as can be."
March 4, 2011 - Samson was adopted by Lee and Jen from New Hampshire.
This 12 - 15 month old rottie guy passed his evaluation with flying colors, and willingly shares his food & toys. He loves people and is social with other dogs.
Samson's foster mom writes: "He's goofy and perfectly submissive to stronger personality dogs. Never causes friction in the play yard. He is getting better about sitting for greeting and crating on command. Somewhere along the way he learned that THROWING himself at people resulted in attention. He is a love and people focused. He LOVES treats and would live a patient home who can get him into some basic training right away. He sits and is learning paw and catch. :)."
He is still a clumsy adolescent, so kids over 10 for Samson. He is afraid of the resident cat at his foster home, but additional testing would be required before an "all clear" given on cats... He is being fostered in southern Maine where he attends doggy daycare on a regular basis.
