May 8 - Happy Mother's Day to Becky, who has been playing the part of "new mom" with Abby. Abby is doing well - not great, but well.

May 20, 2011 - Abeline stole some of Becky's chips the other day, so we know she's feeling a bit better. Now if she wasn't so stubborn, she'd be eating like a champ!

On April 22, Abeline bloated. She was fortunate that her foster mom was alert and was able to get her to the vet immediately, as this saved her life. The surgery to correct the stomach torsion was successful, and Abby is resting comfortably. As of Monday 4/25, Abby is still in critical condition, but is improving greatly. Abby's vet bill at this time is over $7500. Team Abeline are sold out, but you can still make a donation here.

On April 27, Abby was still at the veterian - they said that her recovery was nothing short of a 'miracle'. Abby is expected to be released on April 28. All paws crossed! Her bill is close to $9000, and we've reaised about $2000 of that. Please consider sponsoring her.

What an absolute sweetheart. You'd imagine that any dog that came from the living situation with over 300 animals would be under socialized and have no use for people. One of the original Texas 200, Abilene is sweet, social and loving. She is wonderful friends with Houston, and gets along well with other dogs in general. Hbeline's foster mom says that she is "gentle with cats" but afraid of running water. Abilene is 2-3 years old, and about 80 lbs. Kids over 7. $400 adoption fee.
