Fun loving sweet girl that is highly energetic and social with most other dogs  that can handle a rough and rugged play style. Maxie needs a firm handler that knows the breed and is not timid. A strong but patient handler who will immediately work on training to establish a good relationship and their rightfull place in the pecking order  is a must, although she already knows most of her commands, this is essentuial! Maxie is a bit fearful in new situations and is not a public figure but what she lacks in social skills she makes up for in wit and loyaly. Very understanding of her people once you prove yourself worthy of her love. Maxie is a young girl who has had a rough start but would love to love you if you can give her the space and mental enrichment that she needs. Cat safe. No small children.

Original information:

In her two short years, Maxie has had two homes and now is a member of the Alpha One K9 Oasis training program. Both of her previous homes had household members who were afraid of her and reinforced negative behaviors. Despite this, Maxie has shown her stable temperament trumps it all. She has lived with other dogs and kids as young as 2, however, it would be best for Maxie to have a less-chaotic household with a pack leader. She can be mildly possessive of her food with other dogs, but her previous owner stated that the kids could pat her while she ate.

Maxie's caretaker writes: Maxie is a petite girl who needs a firm leader and lots of love. Smart as a whip, this cutie knows alot of Obedience cues and is eager to learn. Maxie is social with most dogs that are not overly confrontational. Fully crate trained and house trained. She can play a little rough but knows when enough is enough. An experienced dog owner would do best with this girl who needs consistancy and direction. Once you bond with this girl, you will have a friend for life.
