December 1, 2011 - Mikey was adopted by his foster mom Jill, and her rottie girl Vida. Once a Louisiana resident, Mikey now lives in mid-coast Maine and is experiencing his first winter.

What can we say about Mikey? Besides being gorgeous, his foster dad in New Orleans just adores him.

"He's a big and quite impressive boy. Mikey is a brilliant dog. He lives harmoniously in his foster home with a fat cat, a 5 year old small pug mix and 60 catahoula pit mix. Mikey is fully house-trained and has been given his own room while we aren't home. In that room Mikey has been a perfect gentleman. There are a million and one things that he could have destroyed and he hasn't touched a thing. He sleeps solidly throughout the night at the foot of the bed next to the other dogs and doesn't make a peep. He's just so happy to be loved and with the family. We're pretty sure that his previous life was pretty grim. Whoever adopts him is in for a real treat with this guy. We'll be sad to see him go. I absolutely love and adore him."
