Nine year old Roxy was found as a stray in Manhattan. Another throw-away senior in New York City -- I won't ever get it. :(
Roxy's favorite volunteer writes: "Roxy is an older girl who is still up and about. As I appeared in her door, she got up immediately and was ready to be leashed. She even seemed to have a smile on her face... Roxy is rather thin, she is a "petite" Rottweiler at 62lbs. Her coat is shiny. Her eyes are reasonably clear. Roxy walks well on the leash and seems housetrained. Other dogs met on the way do not seem to bother her. She is quite a friendly character who sits next to me on the side walk. She seems so happy to be petted, looking at me with soft eyes. Being at the end of our time together and confident that she liked me, I cleaned her eyes with wet gauze. Roxy did not mind at all...Roxy is still very much a lively female. She would make a sweet and friendly companion for a Rottweiler lover. Roxy is hoping to leave soon with her new forever family."
