First Annual Silent Auction ~ For Dogs and Their People
Donations of Auction Items Needed
Our Silent Auction won't be a success without two things: Auction Items and Bidders. We are collecting some fantastic items - They definitely do not need to be dog-related. Some items already available include a weekend get aways, airline tickets, restaurant gift cards, prize baskets, rottweiler items, day trips, many hand-made crafts, grooming services, pet supplies, Willie Nelson tickets & Meet & Greet for the 5/28 Meadowbrook show, and much more!
Your donation need not be fancy - just from the heart and for the dogs.
Can't think of anything to donate? You can also donate via PayPal and we will bargain hunt for awesome prizes!
Please fill out the donation form and mail/deliver it with your contribution. Donations are tax deductable
Information about the Organization
For the Love of Dog - Rottweiler Rescue of NH rescues rottweilers (and their not-weiler friends) from shelters and individuals throughout Northern New England. We also participate in large scale rescue operations and work with high volume urban shelters in New York and New Jersey, where rottweiler intake can be in the dozens per WEEK; from high volume shelters in southern states were mass euthanasia is performed gas chambers and not by lethal enjection; from high volume shelters where dogs are sold to research labs and are tortured before death ... and our list goes on.
In 2005 and into early 2006, our volunteers participated in ground rescue in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, assisted with rescue & recovery at St. Francis (Best Friends Animal Society) in Tylertown MS, participated in trapping of feral animals and evacuated 58 dogs from the Katrina-stricken Gulf Coast.
Not only does these rescues themselves cost money, but the majority of these animals are afflicted with ailments ranging from mild respeartory infections to heartworm to orthopedic injuries and conditions from neglect and mistreatment. Veterinary expenses for the first quarter of 2006 exceed $4000.
Our silent auction is to assist us to continue these rescue operations and affect the lives of these animals.
