Lexi
May 23, 2005 - Donna and her family met Lexi at an adoption event and fell in love! Today she joins her forever family! Donna writes:
"Lexi has been a very polite girl and maintained a respectable distance as requested- during dinner and breakfast. She must have been quite exhausted as she went to bed on her own last night at around 9:00. She was very excited to find a bone hidden in her crate-thank you. Not a bit of noise out of her all night. Our (Chevy) hasn't welcomed her yet. She has come out of hiding a few times but quickly darted away as Lexi ran to greet her. I am confident it will all work out. "
Update July 5, 2005 - Lexi is doing so well. She and Chevy (our cat) are getting along much better now. They aren't best friends but I think the cat is taunting her most of the time. Lexi loves to play ball and has her own soccer ball now much to the chagrine of Marty (my son's favorite sport and now Lexi's). She loves to play and lie in the sun. Marty and his friend Erick have become good friends with Lexi. We have started obedience classes after just two weeks we have all learned so much about each other. Lexi's hardest times have been riding in the car, not the ride but getting in and out. She's wild to get and stay out, maybe fear of abondonment, we're working on that. We have a summer vacation coming up and she'll be without us for a six days, I'm hoping it won't be much of a set back when we return.
Lexi
If Lexi looks a little perplexed in her photos, it could be due to the fact that her adoptive family left her homeless once again. They sold their home, you see, and returned this gem to her rescue because the new address didn't allow dogs. Try telling Lexi that it isn't her fault her "forever" home lasted two years and her six year-old human best friend is gone. . .she is so confused. Lexi is the perfect three year-old girl, and we are sure she is just temporarily "between homes". She is social with all people, loves dogs large and small, and is friendly with cats. This housebroken girl is UTD on shots, spayed, and ready to join a family who will never desert her-that would be too much to ask. Currently fostered in NH, Lexi has packed her toys and is ready to relocate . . for good. If you can offer her love, acceptance, and a permanent address, Please fill out our adoption application if you are interested in any of our dogs
